In 2015, Team LUMA got this crazy idea: Let’s throw a massive projection mapping festival like we’d seen in videos from Europe and Australia. And let’s do it in our tiny little city in Upstate New York.
Friends and neighbors let us install massive large venue projectors in their loft apartments. Buddies who spent their days running computer networks at the local school district stayed up till 2 AM to read about concert lighting software.
We took a wild guess and told the news there’d be 2500 people.
25,000 showed up.
