The Magic Flute is a special 60-minute ticketed performance presented by Tri-Cities Opera as part of LUMA 2024:
This fresh take on one of the greatest operas ever written will be presented in a new English language adaptation. Featuring the gorgeous visual imaginings of an international team of designers, including Stefanos Koroneos and Chara Spathi, The Magic Flute retains all the charm, mystery, magic, and humor of the original.
Prince Tamino and his sidekick, the whimsical bird-catcher Papageno are on a quest to rescue the Princess Pamina. Guided by an enchanted flute, they encounter the alluring Queen of the Night and the mysterious Sarastro. Though things are not always as they appear in the realms of light and darkness, Tamino’s quest unveils the power of friendship, courage, and love. This fresh take on Mozart’s classic is told through fantastical projections, gorgeous music, and a new 60-minute English translation.
Tickets start at $10 in advance or at the door.
