Repurposed Reality is a single-channel projection installation made of discarded objects like TVs, dead computer monitors, aluminum cans, and the artist’s worn-out shoes. These objects, painted white, are activated by calibrated projections. The imagery includes videos from the artist’s personal life, found internet videos, daily captures, AI-generated images, and animations made from 3D scans of trash found in NYC. This mix blurs the line between private and personal, real and imagined, simulation and simulated. The imagery overwhelms viewers like daily feeds, oscillating through emotions as they try to make sense of the barrage.
