How do plants experience pollution? Plants are some of the first species impacted by ecologically extractive practices, absorbing and concentrating high levels of environmental toxins. Certain ‘metal-tolerant’ plant species are used for phytoremediation to clean toxic landscapes. We know plants live in kinship structures, communicate through chemical expression, and bear their own sort of floral intelligence. HyperAccumulators is a 3D animation of blooming plant-animal hybrids that emerge from eco-chaos and disruption. It explores mutation, survival, and adaptation through the strange futures of plants.
