Geodes invites visitors to wander through a glowing landscape of sparkling, rock-inspired sculptures made from iridescent plastics, painted Duralar, and chenille stems, illuminated by colorful LEDs. A large, curtain-like purple geode forms the backdrop, with a soundscape created in collaboration with ELEL. Beth Reitmeyer’s installation begins with a simple idea: people are like geodes—rough and unremarkable outside, beautiful within—and turns it into a space of radical optimism, hospitality, and connection.
