We propose a project using video projection, coding, and AI in the second-floor windows above Anthony Brunelli Fine Arts, with permission from John Brunelli. Our project explores the spiritual and creative potential of AI, inspired by pre-scientific philosophies that sought to organize the universe into seven categories. Whether it’s the seven notes, classical planets, deadly sins, steps in the great chain of being, or alchemic metals, these mirror the behaviors of AI models when they hallucinate, creating fictions to reconcile unknowns. This failure of pre-scientific philosophy has cultural repercussions, and AI models risk following a similar path if unacknowledged.
