Sever explores the painful and powerful process of separating from the versions of ourselves shaped by fear, expectation, trauma, and survival. Through movement, projection, chains, and light, a woman confronts the obedient, guarded, broken, and expected identities she built to survive. Each chain represents something she has allowed to define her. As the work unfolds, freedom comes not from becoming someone new, but from severing everything that told her who she had to be—until she becomes the light.
