How much trash is passing by right now, over your head, unnoticed?
The Armillaries (Navstar, Iridium, SpaceX) are sculptural instruments that track live satellite orbits and real-time space debris overhead. Inspired by ancient armillary spheres, each piece uses laser light to map orbital layouts, centering a fog-shrouded Earth whose shifting atmosphere triggers a data-driven sonic response.
The work is part of the artist’s ongoing project questioning technocentrism and the hidden costs of our rapid progress.
